nothing to see here. just trying to keep our heads above water in the current state of the world.  

we've continued to dodge the bullet, but it feels like the covid walls are closing in.

the latest variant of covid is absolutely rampant. unfortunately because the girls' christmas show had to be rescheduled to this past weekend, covid numbers had spiked just prior to the production [likely because of holiday gatherings], leading to what we now know was a super-spreader event. several of the girls' friends and their parents tested positive in the following days. some had worn masks backstage and in the auditorium, while others opted not to. so far our family has been spared [knock on wood], and we're doing our best to continually navigate these unsteady waters nearly 2 years into this pandemic. 

thinking warm thoughts as we hunker-down at home this weekend.

welcome 2 0 2 2

a quiet week with beautiful weather, open windows and lots of needed downtime. we celebrated new year's in my favorite way- at home, together, with an italian dinner and plenty of prosecco. the girls rang in the sydney new year before we were all in bed long before midnight. it's a good life, and we're hopeful for the 365 days ahead of love, fun, hardwork, being present and opportunity. 

kicking off day 1 with the first snow of the season!
